BTP is a very active amateur theatre company of  more than 200 members, operating in their own theatre, in Batemans Bay, on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

 

The group presents four  productions each year, encompassing Comedy, Drama,

Farce, and Musicals.

 

 This includes biennial Musical productions  and variety shows by our very active and talented Youth Theatre Group.

 

We also have The Bay Theatre Singers, a peripatetic choir, who perform all over the place, and a static but very extensive Costume Hire Shop.

                Text Box: In this much-loved comedic farce by John Patrick, a former TV  star attempts to retire alone to write her autobiography. To thwart the prying eyes of the locals, she draws on her acting skills to invent a homicidally insane sister who escapes from her upstairs room just  long enough to scare away the locals. It all seems to work, until the imaginary sibling attracts the attentions not only of the local ladies who wish to save her demented soul, but also of the    village handyman, who has love on his mind. How does our heroine untangle the mess ?
